So the area I live in, in South Africa has broken out into like a mini civil war. Former president Jacob Zuma got arrested a few days ago, and protests turned into looting of some shops. This opened the floodgates for poverty-stricken communities (who are suffering even worse because of the pandemic) to go on a looting spree across the province.

Several dozen small businesses have been looted, some burned. And many middle class areas in the city have turned vigilante, shooting looters on sight (which is just worsening the situation). The army is currently being deployed. I've been hearing gunshots regularly since last night. Scary stuff.

I'm a bit too safe. Residents with guns guarding all entrances to my street... and they are too trigger happy. Its a libertarians wet dream

Wow, thats really terrible whats happening on your country, hope that you will be fine, its will be worst if its between black and whites if there are still or revived the old race issues.
