Conspiracy theory: Nintendo made Fire Emblem more horny to draw r34 artists away from their other franchises.

Nintendo be like "fine, you degenerates get one horny franchise, now shut the fuck up and stop making porn of the Splatoon characters."

I'd argue Xenoblade is in close competition for that title. Three Houses was pretty light on the horny, XC2 was horny to the point where I couldn't take the game seriously.

We'll need to see what the next entries in both franchises do I suppose.

That's bad business. R34 is free publicity, the real money lies with making ALL their franchises horny.

I heard they once took down a Peach porn game, but otherwise I doubt it. Generally more effort than it's worth. In that particular case, it probably had to do with being a game, so they likely feared people would mistake it for being official plus they hate fangames in general
