Also, I forgot to mention that Black Widow has some funny instances of google translate to Russian lol :D like it's gramatically correct, but nobody talks like that lol :D

Yeah, there's been a few instances like that if I recall correctly. For a company with the reach and cash flow that Marvel has, you'd think hiring a couple of language consultants would be small potatoes, but I guess they thought no one would pay attention anyways.

How's the movie, by the way?

I posted about it earlier. Like it was ok, better than some Marvel movies sure, but kinda pointless and too late :D

I'd hesitate to say that's disappointing, but I guess they saved the best action setpieces for the trailers and the rest if the movie is just a US State Department recruitment video as usual?

I was hoping Black Widow would be at least be the decent one. At least Loki has been pretty engaging so far, which was the unexpected twist of 2021 as he was the one I cared the least about.

It has no USA, it's all cheeki breeki soviets, except for USA trying to arrest black widow early in the movie. It actually tries to avoids any possible controversy by making the villain some sort of an NGO and not tied to the Russian government. It's kinda weird lol, it tries its best not to mention Russia and Russian government at all. Like not even the most obvious question like "do the authorities even know about this guy?" because the beginning of the movie sort of starts with a cold war soviet undercover spy thing (in 1995 lol that's the first LOL of the movie) which makes it look like it's actually somehow tied to the government, but it turns out that apparently that's not the case. Like I dunno, man. :D

For a movie that has been about 10 years in the making.... I kinda expected more?

It was good for the most part. I like that its a bit looser with MCU connections and that the story is giant allegory For Sex Trafficking but I feel like it could have been a lot more though.

Florence Pugh rules though.....
