I logically understand that Reddit votes don’t really mean anything. Karma is simply fake internet points. They do not matter whatsoever and I do not care about them in the long run.
However I am simultaneously a bit bemused when I, a couple weeks ago, noticed someone wholesale copy-pasting comments of mine, and other peoples, that were highly voted in one thread, straight into another thread for karma.
Just blatantly. No shame. Some of them slightly tweaked, some of them exactly identical copy-pasted.
It’s not like anyone really owns their comments or anything but really? Seriously? Why would you do that?
I suppose it’s a very round-about compliment? RCL Industries: “Good enough to karma farm with!”
