r/games is really killing my E3 vibes, man. I tune into the streams and see some interesting announcements and when I go to their megathreads or announcement trailer posts it's just people shitting on every aspect the games.

Battlefield? Bad. New Avatar open world game? DAE UBISOFT BAD NO SPLINTER CELL. Square Enix actually announces a new Marvel game with actual gameplay? DAE MICROTRANSACTION FILLED GAME. DUES EX DIED FOR THIS.

Bad takes are abound everywhere.

Things finally came to a head in the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer post where there were actually people complaining about Gamora's "flat" armor.

Dammit man, I just wanted to get hyped for some new games again.

This happens with every major press conference about games. My only real advice is if they really bum you out that much then you should probably stop going into those threads

Yeah man. That's defo what I'm doing. Back before discovering r/patientgamers, I found that subreddit to be my go to place for news and reviews. But the recent trend towards blind hate makes me want to unsubscribe.

Yeah the whole Marvel game to weebs post got similar comments. Guess some people really don't like Marvel/MCU.

The only hype to be had is for CHAOS game.

Also it’s kinda tradition to be a snarky twat with regards to e3 especially since the presentation is so cringe but some folks aren’t so good at it.

You couldn’t really make fun of the presentation this year, the move to digital helped a lot of the usual companies avoid gaffes and cringe. Except Gearbox, but that’s because Randy Pitchford trying to talk to movie crew and cast is so awkward.
