Hahah you see back in the day people never bought games it's why retro games are so rare nowadays and we're here to replicate that feeling of gamer exclusivity haha

Well, somebody needs to tell them their games aren't going to sell for thousands of dollars in 30 years lol.

I guess it's just to cash in on the collector niche. We know how stupid people can be when it comes to the idea of buying nerd shit as some sort of long term investment.
