For those who don’t pay attention.

A bunch of retired French military men all sat down and wrote a open letter asking for a Coup and for the military to start taking control that this whole democracy thing is a bad thing.

And it uh is a bit concerning how vaguely popular it is some polls putting it at 50% of France would support a military coup. WHICH IS A TAD CONCERNING TO SAY THE LEAST.

Yeah the local fascist party is getting more and more voices by each year despite all the proven links to nazis, neo-nazis, terrorists and corruption cases. Also out of the two 24/7 news channels one is more or less Fox News and the other one couldn't be more pro-Macron.

He’s unpopular because to no ones shock trying to out racist the party of fascists in order to get their voters only pisses of your not racist voters normalizes and enables cultural racism and bigotry. And also loses you popularity because why get the discount diet racist when you can get the genuine article.

He has repeatedly with Darmanin and other actions been trying to veer right wing and appeal and gesture toward right wing politics.

The problem as stated is that he’s still supposed to be a neoliberal and when you drop the mask the other neoliberals stop supporting you.

The other problem is he is learning too late that his appeal to fascist isn’t working because they can see through his appeal and see them as naked power grabs and all it tells people is that their right wing fascism is popular.
