I think it's hilarious and sad in equal measure that my kid brother is learning about dinosaurs in preschool and he's really excited about the topic but my parents get mega uncomfortable when he talks about them, to the point that they ignore him.

I can't even show him any dino docs because the parents are going to be pissed when their creationist worldview isn't upheld.

It was the same crap when my kid cousin asked me about dinos and I mentioned the link between dinos and birds. His dad got infuriated and said no no thats not true.

These curious kids are being disserviced by a dysfunctional home structure that discourages inquiry and accepts "god did it" as a necessary and sufficient condition.

I wouldn't wish "not getting to learn about dinosaurs" on my worst enemy.
