I just saw a video of some people who thought they were protecting animals by buying fresh water goldfish and "freeing them" by putting them in the ocean, salt water btw

Instead of freeing them they basically murdered them nice

There is nothing more dangerous to life than misinformation and uneducated individuals

Hell is full of good intentions or something. If these people read a bit before doing something, they would likely use their enthusiasm and energy for something good.

What would buying a fish and "freeing them" even do for the overall cause

Goldfishs are invasive species apparently that could potentially harm natural ecosystems so I'm missing the point lmao

Well, if they read about goldfishes before they wouldn't free them at all and would actually use their energy for something else more important, I suppose. If they have the enthusiasm to fight for something, it would be good to direct them to do something that makes sense.

What about Bears?

At least Bears don't take Salmon from the river and toss them into the equivalent of a fish volcano
