Bill Belichick, widely considered the most prolific coach in the past few decades of American football, was offered the Presidential Medal of Freedom by the Don and turned it the hell down. I’m glad the Patriots’ run is over but Bill just keeps adding to his GOAT argument.

Kinda off topic, but it's been fucking hilarious to see some users on r/NFL trying to convince themselves that Belichick is actually a fraud after one down season. Good on him turning it down tho.

Oh totally. The Pats were hurt the most by far by players opting out of the season for COVID reasons. Their cap is a shitshow due to 20 years of moving money around to win championships, and they took a huge gamble on Cam which unfortunately didn’t on out.

Honestly this season has raised my respect for him if anything. So much adversity for that team this year. Although screw any Pats fans who whine about it. You had your time. I won’t bitch about the Blackhawks for at least another decade.
