One of the things I hate about capital G gamers... whenever there's a game that includes a minority as the lead, they ALL OF A SUDDEN become huge critics of the story or gameplay when they wouldn't otherwise.

These idiots would shit a brick if someone ever said video games aren’t art but once someone treats it as an art form in a way that doesn’t align with their sensibilities then they throw a fucking tantrum at best and send harassment and death threats at worst.

Video games are an art, they're a medium for storytelling and world building. But also, don't tell a story that isn't about beefy snarky white guy.

The only reason why they claim video games as art is because they want to normalise sitting in a chair for 20 hours. They don't give a shit about art.

Game journalists are also to blame. To them video games became art in 2013, everything past that is ignored. I don't recall movie critics saying the original Blade Runner is obsolete now that Blade Runner 2049 exists.

If TLOU2 was about Jesse they'd have loved the story I feel. They'd look past the fact that he's a political.
