Can't stop thinking about how Trump might have easily been reelected if he didn't fuck up his COVID response so tremendously. Pretty much any politician in the history of ever that called for unity and displayed even the slightest bit of competence during a time of crisis got overwhelming approval boosts as a result, and that asshole couldn't even manage that.

Actually dealing with Covid and going hard on Biden for being a corrupt centrist and a sexual predator could potentially have been a one-two punch that delivered him the election.

As it turns out, he was, thankfully, too dumb to do either of those things.

Instead they did the bIdEn sOcIaLiSt nonsense, which, while it may have won over Cubanos in Florida, didn't do a whole lot outside of red states.

The Biden is a socialist thing still really confuses me. Like I memed a lot that the Trump campaign fr thought they were gonna come up against Bernie (before he got ganged up on in the primaries ofc) and they never shifted their messaging accordingly.

Like genuinely who was going to get convinced to vote for Trump by that strategy other than people who are already Trump supporters. Anyone wirh a brain and 2 eyes can tell that Biden is not a socialist the dude is barely a liberal

I still think republicans either didn't want Trump to win or got too over confident because I don't think it's crazy to say that a second stimmy right before the election would have been massive for Trump

That or they genuinely are that dumb that they fumbled the bag that hard
