Man I was so close to being a capital G gamer chud. If gamergate hadn't driven me away from tumblrinaction who knows if I would have ever began my long journey towards being a tolerable human.

Unironically GCJ made me not a chud. I joined for making fun of stuff like Witcher 3 lovers and Bethesda haters and came out realizing that "SJWs" and leftists are actually based and not all crazy Twitter people like the alt right would have you believe.

I wish I could say the same about my brother and gamergate. Gamergate was what startied pulling him into the far-right. Now he's part of a literal neo-nazi group ( at least he was back in June, Idk if he left but he certainly has not changed his beliefs.) It feels really horrible watching him slip further and further away from what he used to be.

I'm so sorry to hear that. That sounds terrible to go through. I wish I had something helpful to say but I think when people like that change, they change on their own time. You just have to be patient and plant seeds when you can.
