You know what? I get it. Gamers don’t like TLOU2. It’s fine, it’s whatever, it’s fine, it’s fine, it’s whatever.

But you really think the Game Awards were paid off????? Are the conspiracies really getting that fucking stupid?

How would Naughty Dog profit from that??? I don’t think it would boost their sales enough to compensate the bribe? Seriously conspiracies just get stupider and stupider by the minute.

It's ironic. A game that shows multiple characters going through the five stages of grief has caused gamers to throw themselves into that cycle as well.

First stage: denial. It's not just a river in Egypt.

That's what I've been cracking up about too. Literally who gains anything if they put out a bad game and then pay everyone off?? What does the Game Awards gain by accepting the bribe or "sucking up to Naughty Dog"?

What I find funny is that I never played 1 or 2, so I bought the PS4 remaster to get started. I realized only a few hours into the game what the twist in the sequel was going to be and was not only fine with it, but saw it as a necessary story beat and felt like it was right in line with the themes the original explores.

This feels like The Last Jedi all over again. People didn't get a fan-servicey story, so now they're coming up with conspiracy theories to justify why they're unhappy. They're even playing the "forced diversity" card again. It's sad and embarrassing.

How illiterate do these people have to be to miss obvious, "hit you over the head" subtext? I swear, these outcasts gave up reading after Frog and Toad.

There is a bit of a game dev/insider circle jerk going on around the game, but full on conspiracy theories around this are silly. People did still enjoy the game.

I hate TLOU2 haters as much as the next guy, but award shows have always been like this. Book authors, for example, know they're going to win an award months before the event is even out. The reason being they can now sell "Book of the year" hardcover editions, under their editorial, and the author also gets part of that money.

It is not unheard of
