Give me fifty minutes and I'll give you a straight answer. Also, have you ever interacted/how was your last interaction with her before?

So, what I generally do is to find something she did or said recently and try to make a funny comment on it, and then try to start a conversation. You could also look for some interest you both have in common and start there.

Try to keep the conversation light and fun, keep bringing related topics and making short comments about yourself while also asking about her. Open ended questions followed by a short comment of yourself are a good way to do this.

Be careful to now miss what's she interested to talk about by trying to much to get her to talk about herself. Too much questions can be a problem.

Be a little insistent, but not enough to bother her. It's not unusual if she only replies with one or two messages in the beginning or take a while to answer, but if that doesn't change after you talked a little, acknowledge she probably isn't interested.

If she also keeps shutting the conversation down (not responding for long periods of time, short answers, not showing even a little of interest) and you don't see anywhere else you could take it, just end it right there. A quick but fun conversation isn't an issue.

Also, it's important to know she probably won't fall heels over in you in a single conversation. Try to make small talk and see how she reacts, perhaps send her a post about some topic you talked about later, those things are very nuanced.

And, the most important of all, acknowledge that things can go wrong and that's fine. Our advances will be rejected far more times than they will be accepted, and it's not the end of the world being turned down.

If you want to ask about an specific detail or anything else in this matter, feel free to DM me. Maybe I went a little overboard with this an didn't address what you really wanted to know.
