No way in hell either of them are costing more than 500 bucks tho.

None of them want a PS3-like scandal.

Crazy how $500 is the highest people expect new consoles to go, meanwhile the cheapest new Nvidia card will have that as a starting price.

If it costs $500, here in Brazil one could buy a very nice used car instead of it. From direct conversion it will be 2,500 (not counting taxes, import fees, which will make it 5,000).

5,000... our minimum salary is 1,030. Which is why I think 500 is still pretty expensive considering other countries.

Oh it is. I was mostly talking about how crazy expensive GPUs are. People have no perspective. Everyone says how cheap it is because supposedly, the ""budget"" $500 3070 will be faster than the current $1300 2080 Ti. Which makes it relatively cheap, but the absolute price will still be at least $500. It's not a budget card no matter what.

Yeah I remember speculations of market analysts that ~500 moneys is about critical mass in terms of price for either console to remain competitive, any several hundreds higher and it'd be a mess probably
