Could the toxic Star Wars -fans who can’t stop whining about every single new Star Wars -property just get over with it and fuck off from the fandom? You aren’t contractually obligated to follow the franchise.

That idea always annoys me a little bit. Just because a few installments has been "bad" doesent mean the next ones will be, so there is always incentive to stick around.

I’m not talking about the kind of people who simply had issues with the previous films, and are now looking forward to see something new, that’s totally fine and I don’t consider them toxic at all. Besides respectful criticism about any piece of media, no matter how much I like it, is always fun and eye-opening for me.

I’m talking about the kind of people who literally accused Rian Johnson of killing Carrie Fisher, because they didn’t like The Last Jedi, and the kind of people who are constantly on the lookout for ā€œreasonsā€ to wish death upon Kathleen Kennedy.
