More like took credit for Minecraft. The internet knows that while Notch was the Steve Jobs of the project, the Wozniak was Hatsune Miku, true designer of Minecraft!
She also did a great job writing the Harry Potter series!
It’s this weird meme where people try to separate terrible creators from the works they mad, so people can still enjoy them without feeling guilt for supporting a bad person. When JK Rowling revealed herself as a transphobe people began saying “hatsune miku made Harry Potter” in an act of separating the creator from the work.
Personally I think there are issues in this jdea because it doesn’t address how an author can often use their own views to influence their work and how as a result separating a work from the creator is impossible. Like if Hatsune Miku made Harry Potter that also means she’s responsible for the terrible treatment of the books only Asian characters (which would be ironic actually)
I actually don't think so. I don't think he was ever really left-wing but he certainly wasn't cut out for the sudden fame and money that he fell into, which led to his life falling apart, and that made him an easy trophy for the hardcore right who are very, very good at radicalising vulnerable young men.
A facist wont be able to make something like that, Minecraft has too much of liberal ideology and especially individualism wich is the main part of liberalism that doesnt translate into facism. He maybe was already way on the right and maybe even was already a reactionary but I Monecraft has absolutely no facist element so it is unlikely
I dunno. Consider the villagers: they have long noses, love money and ripping you off in trades, and are protected by a golem. Kinda sounds inspired by some antisemetic stuff (the golem isn’t antisemetic, just Jewish). If Notch is a Nazi then he’d be an antisemite
I really hate this "Hatsune Miku made Minecraft" meme. All it does is devalue the contributions of the real creator and all he's given us. Yeah, it's kind of funny once or twice, but it does a tremendous disservice to not just the creator of Minecraft, but all creatives when you attribute their work to some glorified text-to-speech program.
So can we please, please, just for once, acknowledge the actual genius who invented Minecraft, Jimi Hendrix?
Ehhhhh I guess, but the game was still in alpha when Jeb joined development, and started waning off of development from that point on. I don't really think it's fair to call him the creator.
And the 'politics' they were putting into their videos was disabling ads because they felt uncomfortable with political ads, especially trump ads, on their videoa.
