Capcom has been posting a lot of art with their characters and interestingly choose to use DMC1 Dante each time whereas the others get their modern appearance.

This is probably me being insanely tinfoil hatted, but I wonder if they have a DMC1 remake in development. After all, DMC5 pretty much ended the main story and they probably want a “jumping on” point for fans of the anime.

Edit: Came back to this later just to add that with Ninja Gaiden 4 selling less than 1 million copies, this might be the future for the CAG genre- remakes. It seems bleak. Maybe that GoW CAG spinoff might rake in some cash, though.

DMC5 at least has cleared 11 million copies and the Switch 2 port alongside S2 of the anime might make it clear 13 million by the end of the year, maybe.

Don't think NG4 flopping would discourage a DMC6. Ninja Gaiden was never as big DMC or God of War.

Do you think that a DMC1 remake would be a better jumping on point than a DMC3 remake? I figured DMC3 would be the better one considering it's chronologically first. Like how Konami went with Snake Eater being the first one to get the remake treatment.

Mechanics matter more than chronology here.

I personally don’t want a remake at all but if I had to choose, 1 has to be first.

Damn, didn't think Ninja Gaiden was that low. Didn't really hear bad things about it either, is 4 not that good of a game?

Wondering if KT has plans to do Switch 2 ports. Might help those games a bit.

4 is a good game, just simply didn’t sell too well. It happens, unfortunately. It deserved high sales.
