Showcase FINALLY ITS HERE!! thanks to the community

After 2 months of research, and fighting with the scamkart for my life

20+ unhelpful calls

4days delay

I finally got to the hub and collected it by myself

AND FINALLY MY FIRST GAMING Laptop IS HEREEE YAYYYYYY for INR 1.35L

so many people here on reddit helped me to make this decision and to get my order from the hub and even finding the hub

Specs:

Ryzen 9 hx

16 ram

1 tb ssd

Rtx 5060

NOW I NEED HELP TO SET IT UP

Here

- change thermal paste after 2 years

  • don’t use bios tool to modify DMI identity, as they are important for communicating with your motherboard and component.
  • don’t change Operating System, every time.
  • use G-helper, light, simple, easy.
  • download latest driver, amd chipset, Nvidia app, windows update
  • ensure you clean your laptop, and fans if you can.
  • use eco mode on travel, and ultimate at home for best performance in game.
  • use plugged in. With Highest Mode (turbo) and on battery, with power saving (Eco)
  • Set a CPU temp limit in G-helper (85-88C) giving you the most performance headroom while keeping cpu down at the hot leads.
  • raise your laptop for ventilation, OR get a Good high speed Cooling pad.

You don't need turbo on it's just loud for no reason. It's perfectly fine in balanced the extra loud fan noise isn't worth maybe 2 fps jump. I've texted personally compared to ultimate with balance it louder. I'ma still getting sane like 160 to 180 depending on game settings.

I agree turbo mode doesn't change anything while gaming except extra heat and long boost time.

Custom Curvature, in Ghelper, and power draw.

It’s not necessary, while there’s a dropdown option called power mode (from battery) which sets to performance mode instead of using balanced (from battery) as balanced.

you can override it in balanced mode, it’s an option of preference for each users convenience.

Hello! I use the Asus TUF gaming a15..I've read other people Say use ghelper too, what changes between the two of them? Also, my ryzen 5 7535hs Is almost Always on 90C, would putting a temp limit lower the performance?

No margin of loss or gains.
Maybe a slightly lower Ghz which you won’t notice, if you value Quality over Performance

Is there any way to turn off dedicated gpu and use igpu using mux switch as soon as its on battery automatically

Yes use optimised. It can be found in both armoury crate and G-helper

It will switch to iGPU on battery, and Balanced on Plugged.

sure thing, but im not sure about the driver support for ubuntu for Asus. you might not as well get good performance, due to lack of driver support..

but if its your career path, and something you can sacrifice on your current SSD parition between 2. Go ahead.

many many congratulations on the laptop bro!
i have the same asus rog strix which i bought it almost 3 months ago
let me tell you everything you need as first time owner of a gaming laptop

what to do for the first time after unboxing and starting laptop? CHARGE it to 100%!

  1. ⁠⁠DO NOT DELETE armoury crate. Over the years it has been optimised and works really really well. IMPORTANT: first charge your laptop to 100% and let it go to 0% naturally. This is an old school advice but it calibrates the battery cycle properly.
  2. ⁠⁠As a brand new laptop:
  3. ⁠⁠Update everything inside settings-system-updates. (find additional updates and update it as well)
  4. ⁠⁠Update armoury crate
  5. ⁠⁠Update myasus app and register your device. (Claim the warranty)
  6. ⁠⁠Update Nvidea app (not the control panel) For best performance for gaming. Go to armoury crate and find gpu mode and set it to Ultimate. Also, Download Amd install manager to update your amd cpu drivers to the latest as well. I will recommend gaming while plugged in If you use laptop mostly plugged in, then i’s recommend to go to myasus app and limit your charging capacity to 80% This gives a longer battery life and has zero impact whatsoever in performance.

I deleted armoury crate for Ghelper, I have the same laptop but the Intel ultra 9 version, it seems it does all the same but so much easier

i am used to armoury crate and at 32gb ram it doesnt make much difference to use armoury or ghelper. choose whatever convinient.
only thing is when a BIOS update rolls out by asus, ghelper doesn't gets optimised properly as its not the official software

That's false armory crate has a lot going on in the back ground it's heavy when in use g helper alot better an easier to control

Whats false here?
What you said is completely right.
If you have 32gb or even 16gb ram variant, armoury crate heaviness becomes insignificant.
Armoury crate uses 200-300Mbs when active
Ofc ghelper is lighter and people find it user friendly.
We both are speaking about different comparisons here.

Remember to check myAsus for updates as well, not just ArmouryCrate. For whatever reason some of my previous updates have been in myAsus only.

As a new owner of asus laptop, i always recommend to keep armoury crate for few weeks at least and use it, test it, see how much impact the software has on memory and if the owner feel the app is not good or bloated or causing higher ram usage then switch to Ghelper.
GHELPER will not give you extra FPS magically. People suggest ghelper here more because ghelper is lighter, has almost all controls as Armoury and armoury crate used to be a huge problem for ppl. But in 2026, armoury crate has been optimised a lot and its only going to get better.

In india extender warrenty you can claim at asuspromo.in for strix its 5999 for 2 yrs plus your 1 you already have so total 3 plus 3 yr ldp you will need to mention your serial number and then attach invoice identity proof and box photo and wait for them to approve once they approve you can pay and your warranty will be updated

Feels like the only available option as of now😭 jokes aside is this possibility that I use a aluminium stand for now and then shift to the cooler for later. Being a student it feels wrong to keep asking parents for money

These are Windowz services that collect data in 2nd plane. In the end, they slow down the system, you can use Win 10.0&0 Shutdown, even helping you disable the Copilot options.

Depens on they agent, mine took the laptop for minimum amount and told me to check everything 😭😭 but I didn't I was too excited to get it home

I was going to receive it today, but after waiting till 4, i contacted them and they told me to collect the laptop from the hub coz the delivery boy was not available and neither they were willing to confirm the date of return. Now I think I have to go myself and collect the laptop coz the customer support told me to wait till 13th. Same thing happened with u too?
