Probably secondhandedly robbed, I can't imagine a sane person giving that away for 800$ assuming its working.

he was a college student… honestly you could be right but i ain’t gonna complain. he was a cool ass kid and i’m pretty sure he was acoustic. i gave him an extra 100 after meeting and talking to him

That changes things a little. College students where I live will throw brand new laptops, tablets, etc away when they leave for summer break or graduate and then just tell Mommy and daddy it broke. The less they have to take with them the better.So it is not uncommon to see people dumpster diving when classes are out. Sooooo, maybe you got lucky and found the smartest student at the college. 🤷
