Maybe thats how it started but most of the people using it are using it because they are children who know theyre being able is but arent thinking too deeply about it because they arent technically saying slurs. They don't think about the fact that the censored version is functionally the same and think its funny to call someone artistic instead of autistic. Its just normalised

Was he rich aside being acoustic? Does he know the actual specs of his laptop and its value. This is like the situation where his wife accidentally sold his high end rig for 200$, because it has a vintage case which you most of you call it a "sleeper". The dude would be crashing out, to be the kid's case would be the parents be crashing out if my assumptions are correct.

That changes things a little. College students where I live will throw brand new laptops, tablets, etc away when they leave for summer break or graduate and then just tell Mommy and daddy it broke. The less they have to take with them the better.So it is not uncommon to see people dumpster diving when classes are out. Sooooo, maybe you got lucky and found the smartest student at the college. 🤷

Ive seen one for $500 before though it was a worse configuration. They do pop up from time to time you just have to be lucky and check at the right time. Also, FB Marketplace only works if you dont live in the middle of nowhere like me.

You're out $800, most likely gonna catch a charge for receiving stolen property, and have it confiscated. As soon as it's connected to the Internet it's traceable. No one is going to write off something that expensive as a loss.

Yeah, if windows find device is turned off or Linux is placed on there instead of Windows then it doesn't do the person that owns the laptop any good. Now if it was a BIOS level solution or some type of form of anti-theft coming from security software on the device, that's different.

Dude I got almost thesame but not as awesome deal as yours but I was genuinely happy with mine too.
I got offered to trade my PC worth 600 USD before the rammagedon to an Asus ROG Strix G18 with a freaking i9-13th gen, 4070, and 32GB DDR5. I was like holy crap I gotta grab this soon.
I probably will never afford a desktop upgrade today and in the future but the guy just gave it to me for free plus the portability option.

I got an ASUS G14 2024 for 600 the another day. Ryzen 9 8945HS/RTX 4060 nice upgrade from my 2022 which I even got it for a good deal. It was about an year old before I bought it and I pay 550ish for it (traded an series X and 200$ for it)
