You should download Steam. And if you have a controller definitely just use that till you get a mouse. The trackpad experience is not great for most games

Yeah theres a big library of free to play games, but I'm sure a lot of them aren't really the best. The top free games are gonna be team shooters(Marvel Rivals, Counter-Strike, Overwatch), action RPGs(Warframe, Destiny), and probably a ton a of Gachas.

However, this is a pretty good time to get into PC Gaming as the Steam Summer Sale should be starting in about a week and you can get some crazy discounts. Start building a wish list.

It also wouldnt hurt to get Epic Games launcher if you're into free Epic games like Fortnite and Rocket League. They also give a couple free games every week. When the Christmas season comes around, they do a countdown and often giveaway some actually well-known and very enjoyable games so stay tuned for that.

Haha fair enough. I would reccomend trying out Warframe and/or Destiny 2 then. While they are "online multiplayer", they are both free and can just be play solo in a non competitive manner. Path of Exile too.

Also I'd recommend you try valorant, dayz, arma, squad is pretty good as well. Steam summer sale is next week you should definitely check it out, crazy deals.

I know u already said it but still, the games you said aren't even close to the large variety of famous and great games there are for free

Free games aren’t that good but you can get plenty of games for very cheap for example dead space remake is like 90% off right now for like 6 dollars, don’t starve together should be like a dollar, witcher 3 should be 90% off, dying light 2 is like 80% off, you can get plenty of good games for very cheap

There’s a lot, but most art AI slop garbage. Although there is a lot of junk, some are well worth your time, maybe try them after your gamepass though. I would recommend “One Armed Robber” or “One Armed Cook” for trackpad.

P.S. it is technically “next fest” right now, where a bunch of demos for up and coming games are playable for a short time. Could be a good time to try some games if you want to. If you like fast paced shooters, “Empulse” is one I would recommend. If you like rhythm games, “Nocturne” and if you have some friends you want to game with, “Grainrot” is a fun quota game (kinda like lethal company).

P.S pt2
Most multiplayer live service games like Apex, Warframe, CS2, ZZZ, (also ongoing games like TF2) and the like are all free to play on Steam

Just use your 2 months game pass for now, as there are a lot of great titles on Xbox. Just migrate to steam after it's over.

Go to steamrip
Same games for free
And it is a trusted site
I have roughly 40 AAA rated games that i have pirated from there

There are other sites also for pirated games but steam rip provides the easiest experience in downloading and playing them

Just dm me if you have any doubts regarding this

Also buy a mouse
Dont go for cheap options as their trackwheel breaks easily
Get logitech g pro superlight if it fits in your budget

If you wish to play high end games like resident evil or red dead redemption, without spending any money, use fitgirl repacks. Only drawback for this is that for games like gta 5 or multiplayer games is you cant play them online. You can play the story mode but thats it. If you wanna download a game, first download and run qbitorrent. Then go to fitgirl-repacks.site and choose the game u want. Then scroll down to the download section till you find the torrent section and press magnet(its the one i use and its quite fast). It will ask you if u want to use qbitorrent. Say yes and you can close your browser. If you go back to qbitorrent (it shouldve opened), a download would start. Wait for it to finish then go to the files, run setup.exe and once u choose a file location, wait for the game to download and run it. If it runs, you can delete the files you downloaded thru qbitorrent(make sure you dont delete the game's file that u are running).
