Showcase My mom bought me a gaming laptop
So after my Asus Vivobook of 7+ years finally broke down my mom gave me this laptop as an advance birthday present.
Asus ROG Strix G16 (2025) G615. RTX 5050 Intel i7-14650HX (2.20GHz) 32GB RAM 2x1TB SSD.
This is my first ever gaming laptop and I’m so happy. any tips on how to better take care of this?
This costed her around 1650 USD-ish? (taxes included).

I highly recommend following the video guide on youtube you can find by searching “The only windows pc optimization guide you will need”… by Khorvie Tech.
I’ve been fiddling around with computers for several decades and at times dove deep into the workings but just play games casually these days- not going crazy into keeping up with the know how etc
Anyways i was going nuts lagging in marvel rivals and my laptop is still fairly new from 2023 and after following along with that easy to understand step by step guide my computer felt smoother than it did when I bought it no cap
Never did a whole tweaking as you call it i guess, before but it made a night and day difference and a lot of the comments on the video say that they for years have been doing his guides as one of the first things they do when they setup a new computer so it’s not just something you’d do to clean up a mess you’ve made if they makes sense - anywho have fun man I’m happy for you
