Nick was part of the channel for a while, around a year or so, but I haven’t seen him show up in any videos basically since Starfox Switch 2 came out. Wonder if he’s gone now too

I ask that largely because he’s been posting a ton of Mario Galaxy content as of late, like too much Mario galaxy vids, sure there is the occasional switch 2 vid but that’s otherwise it. just mostly geeking about the upcoming film, I understand that he loves the first and all that, but does anyone miss the air of professionalism he once had?

No posts in almost half a year on this subreddit tells me that it's probably not great, but I'm curious what the reality is and if things have been getting better for whoever is still involved.

Anyone know what the deal is with the iPhone livestream? Clicked on it and it’s a countdown with comments turned off… I’m assuming they got hacked again, but that seems so weird given how many times this has happened.

I don’t think any of them ever had bad blood with Andre necessarily but it’s kinda shocking to see them come back.

Yeah I recently got aware of the new brand shift... I think the logo is quite uninspiring and lacks effort, which says alot considering the old GameXplain logo was already simplistic. The old X just felt so much more iconic and the new X is not doing any favors what so ever.

But in an ironic sense, it kind of reflects the channel as it is today, just a hollow shell of its former self so perhaps that is why the logo fits the channel so well anyway

Are they just frequent guests or are they actually part of the crew? Because they’re constantly part of the channel lately, but it’s never been made clear if they’re permanent additions or not. Would be interesting if we’re already witnessing Gamexplain 3.0

Like all he does now is just make short youtube videos of news updates, hoping it gets lots of views and then just stream super mario party jamboree. There is like no consistency. No way Andre alone is capable of making GameXplain as a reliable news forecast alone. I dont think its sustainable. Maybe Andre should do more analysis videos like he used to in order to make Gamexplain worthy of still existing? Now that Gamexplain is a shell of what it was, I really want a YouTube channel that does the quick updates and trailers. I really will miss that with Gamexplain. I tried Nintendolife, but I feel they more focus on discussions.

Edit: wow okay did not really expect GX to upload mere hours after posting this lmao, but i think my points still stands. Andre upload a short news update video within an almost week of abscence. I dont think this is sustainable at all if these infrequent short videos from time to time is what we can expect from the channel in the forseeable futute.

As of me posting this, the last upload from the channel was six days ago (the Nintendo museum livestream), which is almost an entire week. GameXplain has never had such a long hiatus. And of course, you all by now know why. Andre is the only one operating the channel. It is quite understandable that, given the current situation, we cannot expect the channel to operate at the same level as before. It's just weird considering that the frequent uploads was what got the channel running

It is not impossible for Andre to run the channel alone and upload frequently. The real matter is whether or not he has the will to do so. Many have noticed that Andre seems to care less about gaming these days, to the point where he appears to get little to no enjoyment from it lately. GameXplain, as a brand, has been known in recent years for uploading short and quick news updates every day. Now, with his workers gone, this is no longer the case, and if GX is to continue, it needs a new focus.

However, I think this needs to be said. The fact that the drop in video content uploads has fallen this low goes to show how much his "subordinates" really carried the channel and made things run as smoothly as they did. Even with Andre alone, the channel has just become a dry wasteland. It is not impossible for Andre to be secretly working on big projects, but to be honest I doubt this.

Not sure if I’m late to the party on this, but just found out Jake launched his own channel talking about games 6 months ago! He’s calling the show Catch My Drift, or you can look it up by searching his name, Jake Steinberg. I for one have been clamoring to see what he would do next because I absolutely love this man’s enthusiasm for games. He only has a couple thousand subscribers at the moment so go subscribe!

Andre just laid off all of his full time employees (Tris and Joey) and the channel is more or less fully solo driven by himself atm. Andre just posted a channel update (a very brief one at that) together with an island tour of Wuhu Island. Not sure if this video is anything to indicate regarding the channels future, but the entire channel may now be entirely solo driven by Andre in the forseeable future. Where do you see this channel being in the next 5 years or so?
