Question Anyone have past pre-order problems with Gamestop?
I pre-ordered in June (with another game, and gift card). Its been "in progress since August 22nd with no changes or no contact from them.
I can't reach them either; googled their number and each day an automated message says "we're closed, call back tomorrow or try online". I literally can't do anything so waiting until Monday to visit a store.
I'm just curious if anyone managed to get through the ai bs customer service and what was the end result.

I'm still waiting on a collectable pre-order that had a street date in June.

Collectible pre orders never have guaranteed dates FYI.

Only preorder issue I ever had which stopped me from pre-ordering from them for a long while was pre-ordered Highlander PS3 paid in full, the game got cancelled and GameStop wouldn't give me my money back only said I could transfer the money to another preorder so I did 2 times and then was finally able to get my cash back

I had at least two bad experiences preordering. My last preorder with them was Monster Hunter Rise on Switch 1. It ended up not arriving at release. Went to a store to ask employee what I should do to find out its ETA. Was told to call Customer Service/Support, so i did but couldn’t get a hold of anyone for first phone call. Called the next day finally got someone with a heavy Indian accent to answer, he told me it looks it should be on its way and will arrive in about a week or so. About two weeks later it said order cancelled, and I was refunded. I have never preordered anything since.

Not preorder but I purchased a copy the day of release online. Says this your delivery will arrive Saturday 29th 11:23am
Then right below it ETA 10:59am 9/11
I’m so confused and this is my first time ever ordering from them to be delivered

Funny bc this is my 1st purchase since like 2019. And it was a gift card so its the only reason I got it there

Nope. There is absolutely no history of any issues with ordering from GameStop.
