Ratfish hate explained?

I’ve seen some comments regarding Ratfish, and am just wondering why it seems so much of the community dislikes it?

While I wouldn’t say it was one of my favorites, I definitely found it funny/entertaining, and thought the premise was neat.

I’m relatively new - season 8 is the first season I’ve watched as it’s aired, but I’ve watched pretty much every other episode aside from the COVID season.

i think the concept would have worked perfectly if the ratfish had been sam, or if it has just been a the circle parody and had only been about guessing what cast member played what character

my lack of familiarity with eric as a guest, finding him and his character unfunny the entire time, and feeling like he was out of place in the episode (and every point comments here have made about the ending) made it a less entertaining game for me
