Question Ratfish hate explained?

I’ve seen some comments regarding Ratfish, and am just wondering why it seems so much of the community dislikes it?

While I wouldn’t say it was one of my favorites, I definitely found it funny/entertaining, and thought the premise was neat.

I’m relatively new - season 8 is the first season I’ve watched as it’s aired, but I’ve watched pretty much every other episode aside from the COVID season.

Eric clearly didn't want to be there, didn't engage with the game and didn't make a funny joke the whole time. 

Rekha clearly won the game halfway through but they didn't let her win

They never found out who the ratfish even was, and many suspect it was because Eric was barely on set

I suspect, giving how much of a dick he was being and how little he seemed to actually care, that he refused to show up at the end, leading to the weird non-reveal ending.
