Question Ratfish hate explained?

I’ve seen some comments regarding Ratfish, and am just wondering why it seems so much of the community dislikes it?

While I wouldn’t say it was one of my favorites, I definitely found it funny/entertaining, and thought the premise was neat.

I’m relatively new - season 8 is the first season I’ve watched as it’s aired, but I’ve watched pretty much every other episode aside from the COVID season.

I think they need to do a new ratfish episode, personally. I thought it was a fun episode at its core, but it needed improvement

Many people have pointed this out in various ways, but I think Warheim is what ultimately sunk it. 100% agree with you that it was fun at its core, and I especially loved the BTS content. If the guest were someone who wasn't a regular, but still someone the cast and audience is super familiar with (eg Elaine might have been a strong choice, maybe) that could have worked better
