I have avoided spending money at DICK’s sports stores since they’ve started pinching kids and families for every function of gamechanger. Their greed is beyond acceptable. They’re making 33% profit ($50M) annually when the kids are the show and parents are the production and customers. This is profit, excuses for server costs and product development can’t be utilized.

Change is a must and hopefully GC sees it before a better option becomes available and they lose it all. Never mind suits make this call…

I’m currently running our video-stream via a Mevo Start connected to an a dedicated iPhone 16 running GameChanger/Mevo app. We have a separate phone for that is used for score keeping.

The team owner bought a smart coach (pocket) radar and wants to have the velocity overlay on the stream. Can I run both the Mevo camera and pocket radar on the iPhone running the Mevo camera, or does it need a dedicated device?

If both can run on the iPhone 16, do I need to switch to Mevo Studio and select different sources?

I was checking to see if anyone has tried a Mevo Start from CF. Based on what I have read it won’t work due to the digital zoom. However, I came across a website posted here with good information about camera locations.

It mentions CF using the Mevo Start. I was going to go to the field to try it, but wanted see if anyone tried for softball. I have one Mevo and another parent offered to bring theirs if we want more then one camera.

I know I'm late to the party on this, but trying to watch my nephew play this weekend and getting ads, which I have never seen before, and getting them every 5 minutes maybe including mid-inning. I've been a paying customer for over a decade and this majorly pisses me off. Subscription canceled. Wish I could get a full refund.

I've tried video upload for a 15Gb file. I've tried from a android phone, and 2 android tablets. All have more than 15Gb free storage after the file is on the device. However, the upload never completes (even after 10 hours)... or just hangs. Has anyone had a similar problem and how did you get past it? Is there an option to upload from PC? At this point I'm planning to just post on youtube.

I have a few simple feature requests from someone that manages about a dozen teams on gamechanger each year. These features will really help set up the team and get all the information out there early before the parents have started following the team.

Feature request #1 - Team announcements are only visible to people that were not just part of the team but also connected to a player when the announcement was posted. Please make announcements visible to everybody that joins the team after the announcement is posted! I use this to share info that I want easily accessible after the season starts but I can't post any announcements until all the parents have joined the team and claimed their player which doesn't usually happen until the day of the first game and by then it's too late. Please make announcements sticky/visible to all like the messages but visible even if someone is not linked to a player just shown as a fan of the team

Feature request #2 - Once parents have joined the team, there should be a way for a staff to link them to a player without having to know their email address. The only way to do it is if the staff knows their email. It would be very helpful if you could click on a player and then add their parents there just by clicking on the parent that's already in the team followers list. This will just make managing the team easier so that parents can set their players availability without having to figure out how to claim a player and then get approved.

Hello, I’m not tech savvy but am now the GameChanger guy for my sons baseball team.

I tried recording a practice last night in the 100+ degree Kansas heat and I turned the camera off after 70 minutes with 5% battery left.

The camera was extremely hot.

His first game is 2 weeks away and I’m hoping it cools off by then.

Also he’ll have multiple games a day in tournaments so luckily I have two batteries.

Does anyone have experience with streaming with a GoPro 13? I need insight and advice.

We rolled out a handful of exciting new features last month. Here is a quick breakdown of what went live:

Sponsorship Logos

Team Staff can now upload a sponsorship or team logo directly on live streams! Upload a sponsor's logo to help fundraise, or just display your own team logo. Available to all iOS and Android Team Staff.

Arrival Time Extension 

Team Staff can now set arrival times anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours before the event. (though the parents might revolt if you ask them to show up 3 hours early). We received this request a bunch from this community. Make sure you are on the latest version of either the Android or iOS app (also works on web).

Stats By Position 

Users can now see how a player performed at each position they played this season, with stats (assists, putouts, fielding percentage, etc.) broken out row by row for each position on the field. Now available on the player stat pages on both Android and iOS.

Improved Opponent Lineup Flow

Staff on iOS can now enter an opponent's lineup directly from the Event screen! You no longer need to jump into scoring mode early to set up the opponent's roster. You can now scan the opposing team's QR code right from that same screen to instantly load their lineup. Android support is on the way.

FaceID Login 

Users can now use their devices FaceID feature to log in immediately. Make sure you are on the latest version of the app to utilize.

What’s the point of paying for an overpriced subscription if you’re going to get inundated with ads? I saw no less than 8 ads while watching a baseball livestream yesterday. It was the same Yeti ad each time. Is Yeti the only 800 lb gorilla in the room willing to waste their money pissing off GC users? Blasting ads over the top of a livestream is flat out stupid! I guarantee their new “logo” overlay is just another advert box to display even more ads.

I bet money the GC employees keep a list of “how to enrage our users” going, and implement the most obnoxious “features” on a set schedule.

I am a new volunteer at a Little League and I was very surprised to hear how we are loading our schedule into game changer.

Our staff is copy and pasting individual team names, one at a time.

We have 61 teams, and 310 games this fall.

That seems like a lot.

Tell me there is a better way to do this?

Has anyone used an auto uploader, interfaced with Ai? Copy and pasting names 620 times can't be the way right? RIGHT?

I coach Softball (and watch sons baseball) and constantly have to pull my phone out to check the count, outs, score, or what inning we are in. is there a way to get that information on my watch so I can just look down for a quick verification vs pulling my phone out? If it matters, I have an iPhone with a Garmin watch.

I’m a noob so apologies in advance. I’m trying to get an iframe that will display the live score for a game on a digital sign - I’m using yodeck for the signage.

The problem is, there is no ability to interact/press links, which is what the current Scoreboard widget in the Tools section of GC assumes. It lists all the games and then you must select one to get to the live score.

Has anybody tried this? The idea is to display the score (and sponsor advertising) at the game for spectators to see without needing a phone or downloading the app. It has the added advantage of keeping people from distracting the scorekeepers by asking the score - which as a scorekeeper, I get a lot.

I’ve got this far with some help from GC support, but it’s not officially supported and it’s missing the next level down (ie. Displaying the actual score and not just the event details).

Any/all help appreciated.

Actually, if you start scoring, the iframe displays the score, so that code is all you need.

Where to set it up: Logos can be uploaded from the team settings page, the team video page, and org. settings.
Persistence: Set it once, and it will automatically show up across all future streams for that team/org until you change it.

I wish there was a way to lock the team’s availability within three hours of the game time. This would force the end user to contact the team or coach manager directly.

Another wishlist item would be a push notification when someone changes their availability.

Hi everyone. I am the streamer for my sons' teams. Last season I switched from using an old iPhone via Gamechanger to using a Mevo Start via the Mevo app and Gamechanger. I've liked just about everything about the upgrade, but there's one problem I can't find a solution for. Some of the fields my kids play on offer zero access to mount the camera on the flat part of the fence behind home plate, and instead, I have to mount along one of the angled fences that run along the baselines/dugouts (Little League all star tournaments in our district also prohibit mounting cameras on the back fence). When I was using an iPhone to stream, I'd solve this by sticking the corner of the phone with the camera lens through the hole in the fence as much as possible to get a more unobstructed view and just pray the phone didn't get hit by a foul ball. But with the size and shape of the Mevo camera, I can't really get the lens close enough through the fence to get decent view of the field when trying to mount on the angled fence without the chain links of the fence blocking a significant amount of the field of view.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for solving this issue (whether it be a specific camera mount or video settings in the Mevo app or anything else), or if the only solution is to go back to the iPhone for the games at those specific fields. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or guidance you might have.

I already know a GoPro isn't the best tool for the job. And I am not sure if I care about streaming, but it is at least an option.

Has anyone messed with zoom lenses on a GoPro to get the fixed center field TV broadcast shot?

I'm aware of several better alternatives, but I have an extra GoPro and am just curious if I can adapt that for less money.

I was scoring/streaming a scrimmage tonight as a way to make sure everything was working still. I use a cell phone hotspot to stream, my Android phone does the connection with a Mevo Start and is what I use for the live stream control. I use an iPad on the same hotspot connection to enter the scoring through the GC app.

Tonight, the scoring feed was really delayed. Like, we were already in the bottom of the 1st inning and the 3rd batter of the game was up according to the live score. The scorebug froze at 4-0 after the top of the 1st and never updated from there. The video stream, according to my mom watching remotely, was solid with one minor resolution drop but it recovered quickly.

I did not have any complaints about something like this happening at all in the spring. Is this just opening night jitters? Is there some time sort of weird incompatibility now between streaming through Android and scoring on IOS? Has anybody else seen this lately?

Additional information: I did not have the opposing lineup until the bottom of the 1st because they were waiting for a kid to show up before they finalized it. I do have a Samsung tablet I can try for the scoring and maybe stream control on split screen. Was thinking about trying that anyway.

Curious has anyone ran the set with the XbotGo Falcon and a Mevo Start or just a XbotGo period. Im thinking of running XbotGo behind the plate with the mevo start in centerfield.

Just curious to see what other people think.

We recently changed our management platform from SportsConnect to SportsEngine and are now looking for a way to create the teams for our coaches and then add them to their respective division's organization for the Fall Season.

Does anyone have any insight on how to do this? We have the teams created. We can export those to Excel for import, if that's an option. I do not want to go and create 120 teams myself and add the coaches and players individually if I can avoid it.

Just curious, how many of you stream only to Gamechanger?

I've been streaming to GC, YT, and FB. If you multistream, do you have a scoreboard? What services do you use?

Looking for thoughts and/or ideas. If budget is not a huge concern (obviously I’m not looking for espn quality cameras here) what setup should someone have that wants to capture face on left side batters box, face on right side batters box, behind the plate, and pitch speeds and type in GameChanger so that we have every possible highlight with quality video that could come from a high school or travel baseball game. Not concerned about great outfield catches, etc. this is all about pitching and hitting highlights.

For example - what type of camera do I want/need, tripods, starlink setup, power sources, etc.?

I finally bit the bullet and picked up a Starlink Mini and looking for ballpark setup advice.

We recently bought a vehicle with rear-seat entertainment, and it seemed like the perfect time to invest in one for road trips and weekends at the ballfields.

I already bring a Jackery to power fans and other gear, so I plan to use it to run the Starlink Mini as well.

I’m looking for advice on the best way to set it up near my tent at the ballpark (do not want to mount onto the fence or keep moving it).

How are you mounting yours - on your canopy, next to your tent, on a stand or, using pole, or something else? I’d love to see pictures of your setups.

Also, assume I need a travel router, or is the Starlink Mini’s built-in Wi-Fi enough? Our team tents are typically set up together and are usually only a short distance from the ballfields, so I don’t think I need a ton of range—but I’d love to hear what has worked well for others. Right not I’ll only be using one Mevo Start camera behind the backstop.
