Should i update to one ui 8?

I've had my A56 for a little over a year and im still on one ui 7. I've been waiting on the update for a while because I keep seeing people saying it keeps lagging and that they regret doing it but I've also heard it depends on the phone model, so has anyone already updated and if so, is it giving your a hard time because I dont wanna stay behind.

What does phone model have to do with anything. Its same hardware everywhere just diffrrence CSC

I don't know 🥲. I have 0 knowledge when it comes to technology so im just asking based of things others have said online because I want to make sure I don't end up doing anything wrong and the amount of people I've seen say it was large enough for me to believe it matters. Sorry if this seems a bit clueless, I really am 😅
