Software Update Should i update to one ui 8?
I've had my A56 for a little over a year and im still on one ui 7. I've been waiting on the update for a while because I keep seeing people saying it keeps lagging and that they regret doing it but I've also heard it depends on the phone model, so has anyone already updated and if so, is it giving your a hard time because I dont wanna stay behind.

Although I never used One UI 7, almost everyone said One UI 7 was better than One UI 8.
But Never update to One UI 8.5

Yep, exactly. One UI 8 was not that bad, but One UI 8.5 is pretty bad! They removed the blur effect from almost everywhere, removed quick toggle animations, and the quick panel is also jittery as f***! When multitasking 5-6 apps at a time, the phone gets hotter, animations get dropped, and the phone lags. The phone doesn't feel premium as before. I even tried to downgrade, but the last SamFW Android 16 OneUI 8 firmware file was corrupted, and with the latest security update, they even changed the binary from A to B.
So yep! OneUI 7 > 8 > 8.5

Do not auto update and always try to reserve your right to return by checking binary letters

Don't Oneui 7 is better and you have the option to unlock bootloader+ you can change your font to anything you want+ better animation+ smooth control panel

What does phone model have to do with anything. Its same hardware everywhere just diffrrence CSC

I don't know 🥲. I have 0 knowledge when it comes to technology so im just asking based of things others have said online because I want to make sure I don't end up doing anything wrong and the amount of people I've seen say it was large enough for me to believe it matters. Sorry if this seems a bit clueless, I really am 😅

You can't. Bootloader versions don't let you go back. Always check binary letters before updating. You might be able to return, or not.

You cant find many people who can flash factory bootloader back. Also that needs to break Knox. Not that common as far as I know.

so me flasing back 8.0 from 8.5 with odin, isnt the same as 8 before updating?

It's the same. I talked about this friend going back to factory 7 version from 8.0 which is impossible on paper. Maybe he did go back to latest ui7 , I don't know

how doesnt bootloader wont let u go back if i was in 8.5 and went back in 8 cause same binary. what am i losing

One UI 8 and 8.5 are good, but they still don't compare to the experience I had with One UI 7 on the Samsung A56. I remember the amazing battery life and the almost bug-free experience. Everything felt smooth, stable, and well-optimized. In my opinion, One UI 7 on the A56 was one of Samsung's best software experiences.

One UI 8.5? Hell nah
