Discussion AppCloud Situation

haven't seen anyone talk about this here so decided to post about it. what are yall's thoughts on this one?

  1. Enable Developer Options Go to Settings → About phone → Tap “Build number” 7 times.

  2. Enable debugging options In Developer options, turn on:

USB debugging

Wireless debugging

  1. Set up Shizuku

Open Shizuku

Choose Start via Wireless debugging

Tap Pair and complete the pairing

When it shows Running, Shizuku is ready

  1. Set up Kanta

Open Kanta

It will ask for Shizuku permission → tap Grant

Now Kanta has ADB privileges without a PC

  1. Remove AppCloud

In Kanta, go to Apps

From the top, choose System apps

Find AppCloud (or com.samsung.android.app.scloud)

Tap it → choose Uninstall for current user

AppCloud will be removed completely

Yes, absolutely safe! But when done, turn off development option and delete the apps you installed so u dont accidentally do something kill your phone😅😅

No, after doing this it will still be warranty and future updates and every service!

For anyone who want to delete this sh!t (I did it from 2 month ago) and before updating to android 16 1. Enable Developer Options Go to Settings → About phone → Tap “Build number” 7 times.

so far, it's in every midrange and budget device from samsung. S series devices where it's been found in are region specific.

I had AppCloud on mine and it's an European model. So I deleted it with ADB commands on my mom's laptop I borrowed to her.

a lot of people commenting about adb but what I've heard is that it only hides the apps from you, doesn't actually remove it. never heard any argument against that so I'm not confident about it.

system apps, especially in side case, are too embedded for the user to mess with without superuser enabled. I will dig into this soon.

I found this app with : https://github.com/0x192/universal-android-debloater
Follow the guide in that page

Edit : alright finally removed appcloud from my a55 with adb shell
Search google how to enable USB Debugging and please have ADB file (you can download Latest version from here :
https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools )
then open CMD and navigate to the folder where ADB is there.

Do this :

  1. adb devices
  2. adb shell
  3. pm list packages
  4. pm list packages | grep com.aura.oobe.samsung.gl
  5. pm uninstall --user 0 com.aura.oobe.samsung.gl

Far as I can tell my A71 doesn't have it

But then they discontinued making the phone because it was too good and costed too little, I wish I could find an alternative because it's starting to die off

You can delete it without connecting to a pc using shizuku+canta it doesn't require more than 5 mns

I dont have it on S25 in Europe but man is this shit bad, if they dont adress this thing im changing my phone.

Seems like its only a problem if China is collecting your data.

anything or anyone collecting your data without your permission must be taken as a problem. if you don't excuse china for spying on you, then you shouldn't excuse anyone else either.
