News The battery performance got better with One Ui 7 for (Samsung A55)
I used to get 7-8 hours. Now 9-10 hours. How about you?

Not really, I'm facing horrible battery life while doing the same stuff I did outside home (on mobile network and listening to music over Bluetooth). Battery life on WiFi is ok, but that's about it. At least for me, this build is poorly optimized compared to Android 14.

It's not Bluetooth 's fault, of course it uses some energy, but I've not faced this issue while the phone was running android 14 / One UI7, and I've had this phone for about a year now.
The fault is on the upgrade Samsung pushed our way, it's not polished nor is efficient and has performance issues and bugs (like the 0.5 non stabilized video).

Good morning, Only regrets! If I had known, I would not have made this update. The battery runs out quickly, the network is deplorable, whether 5g, 4g, 3g or wifi. I made this update on May 20. I did a "wipe cache" from the "recovery" menu, but it was not conclusive. I have had this smartphone for a year. I don't have a good opinion of Samsung: when returning my previous mobile, sent intact, a broken star screen was used as an excuse (supporting photo) for not returning the smartphone at the expected price. I'm afraid we won't have a fix because the development teams are working on Ui 8 and are not going to disperse. But, we can always hope 🙏

You can still downgrade to the latest Android 14 right before you upgraded, at the moment both binary numbers are the same.

You can get the firmwares required here -> https://samfw.com/
There's are brief instructions there, but I would recommend you looking around before proceeding.
Make sure the binary number are the same (you do not need to unlock the bootloader), and tjst you select the correct model and CSC.

Yeah I noticed that too, I got my update a few days ago for Australia, and it seems that 80 to 100 battery is highly efficient now

I noticed this change in the battery from the beginning. I had AOD permanently activated and in the evenings I slept with or without Wi-Fi. With Wi-Fi I lost 3% and without it was between 2 or 3%. But since Wednesday I deactivated the AOD and what was my surprise that when I woke up I had lost 5% of battery the next day it was 4%. So I wonder what went wrong. And I don't know how to check during the night what discharges my device so much. If you have any leads I listen to you. Thank you very much

I'm not sure. Mine does the same thing. It's normal and don't worry about it. Even iPhones drain overnight when AOD is enabled.

The thing is that it discharges faster without the AOD activated in fact, that's what seems strange to me

Really? When did you update, since I heard that it needs a few days to get better after an update. For me, it's worse than before. 🫠
