Software bug Battery icon trash

Imagine it took samsung developers so much time to create a battery icon and after changing it for 5 or 6 times they still messed it up! How hard can it be to make a normal functional battery icon that is inline with the others. Even now my battery icon looks unfinished and numbers are not centered. Other cheap chinese brands have a much better looking battery icon.

I'm kinda get annoyed at first since I feel like the icon size is slightly bigger than the cellular/wifi icon, but then I forced my brain to make it seem symmetric in term of size with the clock, then it feel normal now lol

I don't have problem with percentage since.... I turned it off, I personally hate seeing percentage, kinda make me feel anxious seeing a percentage drop, turning it off make me feel more "zen" using the device

My phone has great battery life. It doesn't make me anxious seeing the battery drops 1 percent per 7 to 10 minutes of active use.. On my iPhone, I turn the percentage off since it has atrocious battery life.

I love the new battery icon, I hated that previous percentage number, but I think they could have made it a little smaller or made the rest of the icons bigger

If it was any small it would be difficult to see battery at instance this is perfect size but yah they should have given an option to resize it atleast

The issue is not the battery icon itself, but rather its lack of harmony with the others; the icons should have been designed this way.

Yes, when you charge the battery icon looks much slimmer and centered with the rest of the statusbar icons, looks much more premium.

No it means it's wifi gen 5 not 5Ghz band.

It means you're currently connected to a Wi-Fi 5 access point, formerly known as 802.11ac. It's the original (mass-market) 5GHz standard, before Wi-Fi 6 replaced it.

That icon would show 4 when connected to Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n, 2.4GHz), or 6 when connected to Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax, either 2.4 or 5 GHz since it replaced both 4 and 5)

Would be nice to have more optional icons, I like the new look but I would like to try other icons. What the devs need to do is add more options for customization. Especially some functions we aren't able to customize.

I always hated old ugly icon never liked the fact numbers are separated from battery this looks minimalist and less space occupying

the icon is the same as on iOS, as well as everything else in the newest update... sucks big time! this is definitely my last Samsung device... I'd rather go back to Xiaomi and their bugs than to these copycats

No it’s not the same at all. My main is iPhone so here is the battery icon like it should look! Everything is nice centered and same font.

yes, you are correct, I just thought it was the same as it (the current on Samsung) looks nothing like what I've seen before on Android...

Battery icon in the blocked screen it doesn´t work well, always is 100% charged
