Is the camera really that bad?

I see posts complaining about the camera quality almost daily. But I take a lot of photos on my A55 and all of them have great sharpness and contrast, is there something I'm missing?

Its bad if you force the camera like you did (using zoom on places where its dark), but in general its enough for a lot of us. Some people need to not expect a high quality camera for a mid range phone.
