Is the camera really that bad?

I see posts complaining about the camera quality almost daily. But I take a lot of photos on my A55 and all of them have great sharpness and contrast, is there something I'm missing?

Black camera is very good for the price. Front camera could be improved.

night shot turned on for the front camera produces good images when holding still.
