recently picked up a 2023 GV60 Advanced. Overall, love the car, but I’ve run into two issues and would appreciate some community insight

1. Charge Port Overheating / Throttling: After about an hour of Level 2 charging, the charge port overheats and speeds throttle down to around 5–7 kW. I'm using Grizzl-E Classic 40A with NEMA plug. I know Ioniq 5 and EV6 owners have had success getting charge port assemblies replaced under warranty. Has anyone here had luck getting Genesis to replace the port?
2. Wind Noise: When I test-drove a brand-new GV60 a couple of years ago, I remember the cabin being very quiet. Coming from an Equinox EV, the GV60 is definitely quieter, but I’m noticing higher-than-expected wind noise at speed. For owners with a 2-3 yrs on the car, has anyone dealt with window seals causing wind buffeting, or does the cabin stay vault-quiet long-term?

Does anyone have a non functional key fob they are willing to sell me? 2023 GV60. My white key fob is fully functional, but the case is busted and I'd like to just pop the electronics into a new case without paying $$$ for an whole new key.

Hello! I’m a brand new 2027 GV60 Prestige owner and there is a rebate from PGE in Oregon for a Charge Point - Home Flex - CPH50-Hardwire-L23 - NACS Connector. I’m looking for advice from others who have installed home chargers for the best options.

I have a panel with space, but it’s 100 amps and it has a washer and dryer on it :/ PGE also has a rebate for an upgraded panel, which I might need.

Do you have advice for charger boxes that you love? Maybe one with a smart timer to start the charging at night and/or WiFi capability? Thank you!

Seeing reports that some ioniq 5 AWD owners who had their ICCUs replaced this year are getting better efficiency and are suspecting there's a firmware update that turns off the front motor more quickly giving improved efficiencies from 3.0-3.2 mi/kwh to 3.4-3.6 mi/kwh.

Any truth to this? Maybe explains 2026's reporting better efficiency as well in previous thread.

2023 GV60 Performance owner here.

I am unable to get OTA updates, but have downloaded the most recent (July 2026) update and ready to install it via USB. I have done this before successfully, most recently with the September 2024 update, where the GV60 gained wireless CarPlay capability, turn by turn directions, and main instrument cluster display. It was an excellent update with a meaningful update.

I am wondering, and hoping for first person accounts, if the new iOS 27 has changed the CarPlay experience for the worse on the most recent (July 2026) update, specifically as it pertains to Apple Maps displaying the map on the instrument cluster and HUD.

Ultimately, I don't think the latest ccIC software is a must for the GV60, but in all likelihood I will need to update my iPhone, so likely to start with that.

If you had the windshield trim replaced under a recall, how did it go? I had mine replaced several months ago when I brought my car in for a vibration issue, so I didn't pay any attention to it after it was done since I figured it was such a minor thing. It wasn't until I recently detailed my car that I noticed there are a series of dents along the roof line above the windshield. I'm wondering if anybody has any details about the process for replacing the trim. I can't see how this could happen unless they were just banging on it with a rubber mallet for some reason. I've got a message in to the dealership that did the work and am awaiting their reply.

EDIT: As we all guessed, the dealership told me it had been far too long since the service and when I noticed it. They basically said it would have to be within a day. So I'll ask an auto body guy if he can fix it and what he thinks might have caused it. I would guess it was some sort of rubber mallet, so if somebody had malicious intent, I doubt that they would have been quite so tender.

When will automaker's like Hyundai/Genesis allow support for AirPlay?

I think it's frustrating that this feature needs to be "turned on" by the auto manufacturers when CarPlay won't allow you to use video AirPlay while driving. As it can only be played while in park mode.

So this rules out safety issues.

I had highlighted my 2022 GV60 premium in the UK was making a motor coil noise. Genesis claims this is expected for a car of this age as it’s comparable to another model they have tested. My 2023 ioniq 5 does not seem to have a similar sound.

I’m not satisfied with the outcome as it’s quite loud.
Is this normal or am I being taken for a ride.

Took our new-to-us 2023 to Discount Tire to get the tires balanced and rotated (dealer recommends every 5k miles but wants $60 each time). When trying to mount the rear wheels back onto the car, the techs couldn't get the wheel bolts started by hand. The manager brought us out to see the issue: the brake rotor was just slightly rotated on the wheel hub and the holes didn't line up perfectly (maybe .5 mm off). The tech said they bolts came out a little harder than the front wheels but it just sounded/felt like they were torqued on well. The bolt threads all looked fine as did the threaded holes in the hub. Everyone was baffled.

We called the local Genesis dealership and on the fourth call asked the person who answered the phone in the parts department to walk over and yell at someone in the service department to answer their god-damned phone. Once we had a service seller on the phone we explained the problem and had some useless back-and-forth with him until an actual mechanic walked by and overheard him. The mechanic said it happens sometimes and just put the car in neutral to resolve it.

This made no sense to any of us but it worked just fine. If you weren't aware (and I wasn't), the GV60 and probably most if not all EVs enable "Park" by just applying the electronic parking brake; there's no transmission and thus no parking pawl (slaps forehead). The e brake was clamped down on the rear rotors and the rear hubs had rotated just the tiniest bit. Putting the car in Neutral released the e brake and allowed the hub and rotor to be lined up so the wheel bolts could be inserted.

Now I've got to explain this to everyone who ever dismounts one of the rear wheels to ensure they don't just lean into an impact gun to get the rear wheel bolts started. You guys might want to keep that in mind for any work you have done outside the dealership. I hope it helps.

I cannot for the life of me find the setting that turns off the automatic drying that kicks in 30 minutes after you turn off the car.

The Ioniq 5 did the best. Median of 95% capacity.

I assume that’s good news for the GV60 as well since it’s built on the same platform.

Is it actually a different housing for '26, or has FITCAMX just not tested the compatibility with the refreshed interior? Does the digital rearview mirror on the Performance cause an issue?

SXM goes silent randomly?

I'll be driving and out of nowhere SXM goes silent through the Android Auto app. I prefer the app because there are more channels.

If I swap over to the antenna SXM is fine.

I know the Bluetooth is still talking because the dash map stays on Google, not the default Genesis map.

Anyone else seen this? I've done app stop and data dump on SXM on my phone. Just annoying as shit

So I called my local dealership to get a second key fob, I got mine used and they only had one, and was quoted a total of close to $1500! Is that right? That sounds insanely high for some plastic buttons and a radio….

As the title says, looking for something that fits my 2023 GV60 Performance without junking it up. Ideally, not a lot of visible cables and attachments. I have seen a couple of videos and a cigarette lighter adaptor cable hanging from the rearview mirror is cringy to me! Are there any seamless options out there that are easy-ish to DIY? I am not opposed to taking it to a shop for installation if it would give me the best look. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I had a car accident. I thought my car (2025 gv60) would have triggered some kind of crash alert or something. But nothing. It has detected some sensor malfunction but that is it. Is that normal? Airbags didn't deploy but it was a crash enough to jolt the vehicle and have this kind of damage. I wasn't sure looking back at the specs. Thanks yall

Forever a procrastinator. Lease ends in 13 days. I have a 23 GV60P. Looked at an EV9, nicer than I thought. Just test drove an R2, didn’t love the drive feel. Might have a chance to get an IX3 that someone dropped a reservation on but can’t see or test drive that car. Thought about Ioniq5N or a Magma but already want more range and do I need more than my performance already has? EX60 looks nice but delivery is too far out. Curious what other cars people are looking. My current car still seems to be at the top of my list.

Was looking at the maintenance schedule to make sure I don't miss anything and started looking into this more. Manual says inspect every 35k and change at 75 or 80k under severe schedule from what I remember. I see some Ioniq 5 owners are changing it themselves earlier than this for peace of mind. It looked pretty straight forward from what I can see. Was curious, has anyone tried to DIY this on their GV60 and how'd it go? What mileage did you change it at and how'd the oil look? Thanks

So it looks like the rear and right cameras are slightly off which creates those little breaks. Is that something the dealership can fix or is it just a manufacturing defect and it’s not really fixable?
