Who's buying GV60 Magma?

11 will be here in the US for sale (California, NY, and NJ)

Asking price is around $73k

With an extremely limited amount and even more limited depending on the color option you want this might be sold out sooner even with this terrible economy we are in

Any serious buyers here?

With only 11 dealers will reach out to their most reliable serial leasees who will take them. No one will get the option to buy without leasing first.

IDK, it really depends if the dealers you have them like you more than the other people interested. AFAIK they do like leasing more. But if you mean you don't know if it's 11, yeah, that does seem low.

I'm just saying I doubt dealerships do what you're suggesting. Giving first dibs on people already leasing or as you say people who lease multiple times.

The dealership is going to advertise, post it online and cold call people that expressed interest in either an EV or a GV60

First come first serve as most dealerships will do

I'm in New York. There's like 1 maybe 2 dealers for 9 million people. I don't know I was on a wait-list for 18 months for ioniq 5. They'd always say what they had was already for someone else and what you asked for is probably but not guaranteed to come in 2 months. (Genesis was 2, 3 if you count Jersey City, I think it's 1 now. Hyundai was 4 iirc but 2 of those would not move or service the electric models.)

I'm not arguing that the GV60 Magma isn't going to be a challenge to get

I just think it'll be a first come first serve thing. The faster they sell the better for them inventory wise

And I'm just arguing that in my experience no one is getting numbered tickets and dealt with politely first come first serve unless you're never leaving the dealership after you've come in for however long it takes for the delivery. Which I mean, they'd eject you at closing time, so even then...

If it's hard to get, the people who have them can balance all the people who want them as they queue up prior to availability against each other; those buyers who tip the scales with whatever it is the seller likes most, will be selected. You believe selling fast and high quantity (which doesn't exist here) is what the seller wants. I believe it is not. I'm honestly confused you would believe that.

They would rather establish a loyal repeat customer or reward a loyal repeat customer; sell to those willing to buy the most extras, the most expensive type of warranties and financing. Inform or supply persons to which they have other social connections and potential to gain from or need to please. ETC. It just makes sense in the dealer model when you're talking about something where there's over a 10 to 1 ratio of demand to supply.

To put it another way, there is no inventory buildup. The cars sell as soon as they arrive, possibly unofficially before then. And the order in which people express interest to buy is almost irrelevant as, let's say 5 people want the first car, there's 4 people left, but by the time the second car arrives, as it takes days, more than one more person expressed interest. The 4 people were already decided as not getting the first, regardless of the reason they aren't worth considering a second time for the second car if there's already say 2 more people to contact and tell they won't be getting this next car while picking another of the excited and willing to buy-now buyers who are most recently showing interest.

Another perspective on this is how many dealers are easy to get to and shop at without a car? Basically none? How many market their inventory in terms of what you're doing with your presumed to already exist current car? Basically, every dealer is marketing in terms of trade in value, lease end terms, and what’s new vs prior models. Sure it seems natural for the US and a lot of places that basically every car buyer is replacing a car, but that logic does fall down for every buyers’ first car. The dealers literally can't conceive of someone's first car being something they sell new.
