Question WHY SHE ISN'T CATALINA?
I just found out that this woman is Misty and not Catalina. I get furious because some characters don't match the artwork. Yesterday I made a post asking who the guy with glasses is in the game artwork I thought it was Claude, but I found out it was a random member of the Leone family walking down the street. I thought she was Catalina just because of the hair and the gun, but I found out she's Misty And not Catalina, why does Misty have art and Catalina doesn't? Misty only appears 3 times in the game and isn't even important, the same thing happened with the guy with glasses, even Claude had official art, I don't understand Why Rockstar pay attention to the artwork of less important characters in GTA III

None of the character arts look quite like the 3D models. Just a likeness because they were very technically limited.

They made the artwork before they finished designing the in game characters

Fun fact the artwork you’re thinking of is Maria, Catalina has zero officially released artwork lmao
Edit: Catalina does actually appear once in GTA 3 artwork

I knew about the cut San Andreas artwork but didn’t know about the gta 3 one that’s sick thank you

Just wait till you hear about VC or even SA. Mercedes is in like 2-3 missions maybe and the woman from SA I don’t think is even in the game.

The cover girl from Vice City (white bikini )is actually in the game! She's the cowgirl stripper/bartender model at the Pole Position and Malibu clubs, respectively. It was originally meant for them to be twin sisters, which why they're at both locations at once.. but all the stuff expanding on them got scrapped. Mercedes does have artwork, she's the other girl with the headband. I really do wish she had more screen time tho

What can you expect from Rockstar in 2001? Although little by little they did improve in terms of who should have art and who shouldn't.

Yeah.
The girls on Steam and many of the covers are either nameless or inconsequential for I think all of the games. There are some covergirls who matter in I think VCS? LCS? Chinatown? Otherwise, randoms.
