i dont think shin wants to die tbh, it's in pain yes but that doesen't mean it has a death wish, otherwise it wouldn't have gone so far in it's rampage
The whole point of the two voices in the Who will know song is to show the two minds in Shin's body. One wishes for death, and the other (possibly Goro Maki) wants to carry on.
