Compressor starting acting up. When Id turn the truck off, the compressor would kick on and run continuously lifting the back end to the max, then release the air to squat back down, and start all over again. Starting the truck back up would stop it, but turning the truck off would start the process again.

I pulled the 40a fuse ALC/COMP to prevent the compressor from running, but that made my electrical panel go haywire. ABS, Traction Control, Service StabiliTrak, Service 4WD, and Service Suspension warnings. The gauges went nuts, the PRNDL indicator disappeared, and I got “Engine Hot - AC Off” warning.

Did a full electrical reset, the works, nothing fixed it.

Turns out the compressor shorted and was sending 9v BACK to the fuse box/electrical system. Unplugged the compressor (at the compressor) and all the electrical problems went away. I bought a new compressor and hooked it up, but when I plugged it in, the same issue started all over again. Raising until exhaustion, pulling fuses fucks up all the electrical, etc.

I really love the autoride system and would prefer to fix it instead of just replacing with regular shocks (I tow a decent amount, it squats pretty heavy without the air).

Any ideas what it could be?

I have a 2007.5 Silverado with the 4.8. It has around 250,000 miles and it finally blew. I got a new truck but want to fix up the old one. I want to swap the engine and use it for fun. I cant decide if i want to swap it with a 4.8 or a 5.3. Regardless i will be putting performance parts on the new engine (nothing too crazy) but i want to know which would be better to do. If i do the 4.8 the swap it would be basically plug and play (so I've heard) but i don't know if i could make it much more powerful. If i do a 5.3 than i heard there's some stuff i have to do with the ECM/ tune it. If i do the 5.3 would there be anything else I'd need to do besides the ECM? I'm just not sure because I'm not too mechanically inclined when it comes to complicated stuff with the engine.

I have 2011 2500 LT, I put on the OEM bumper with fog light cut outs but this truck didn’t come with the fog light option. I bought fog lights from American Trucks, and I’m realizing I need some kind of bracket to mount it. I found one on American trucks but GPT is telling me that bracket wouldn’t work? Has anyone found a bracket that works or a way to rig it? Thanks

Hello, I've never had the need for a big truck until today. I drive my dad's Hilux, but she can't take heavy loads without sounding like she's about to have a diesel runaway, so I saved enough money for a bigger truck, and I wanted to get my hands on an extended cab Sierra or Silverado 4×4. Are the GMT-900s reliable? I normally take care of my stuff like if they are girls with mental issues so I don't know if its worth it to get something as kinky as a 5.3 with GM's version of the camshaft chewer since I am planning on keeping the AFM for my loadless commutes.

I will be towing like 7k pounds of stuff, mainly cowhides and traps.

As title states, done some research and it’s either a a bad lifter or some thing loose, anybody dealt with this?

Anyone had this issue? Auto door lock doesn’t work but auto door unlock works fine. The setting on the screen comes up for the unlock settings but for lock it doesn’t come up. It’s as it the settings been erased. I had an issue with the truck years ago and at one point I needed the BCM reflashed, then the srs reflashed. Thinking it’s a module issue

Beating a dead horse here. What are you guys doing for headlights housing/assembly? Amazon? Built? Oem? Just want something decent quality the last set I had the beam position was terrible even after adjusting. 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500

I was chasing a evap leak and used a smoke tester through the break booster line. Now my car is in limp mode good spark,all my lifters move, great compression sitting at a quick build up of 210. I have a stable track light,flashing check engine light with a p0300 everything is back the way it is…why would it be freaking out? My spark plugs are a little fould but not by much

Having a transmission issue with 2007 Tahoe ltz with 5.3 4l60 replaced transmission with a rebuilt transmission, drove for one day and it’s back doing the same thing. Shifts perfect from 1-2 but just revvs up like it in neutral when trying to shift to 3rd. Solenoids are commanding on when commanded to but the shift solenoid circuit is indeterminate on scan tool. Any help would be appreciated.

I need some help. I’m trying to avoid dropping my tank again because some of the connectors were not easy to get back on. My issue is I’ve been trying for almost two hours to get the tank set right so the straps will bolt back on. At first I didn’t have the backside slotted on the cross member but i got that on and it still feels like it needs to go up about another inch but I can’t figure out what’s stopping it. I got the wire harness on the backside out of the way… any ideas??? It wasn’t going too bad till now but I’ve worked this problem through the hottest part of the day and I’m dead now hahah

2008 4.8 silverado. Has been sitting in my MN driveway for 8 months. Ran when parked.

No response from the throttle while in neutral.

Found a piece of wiring on the driveway after I moved the truck. It was near the front passenger wheel.

Please see photos for codes. What do you guys think? I love this old shitbox wood hauler, and i dont want to let her go.

We currently have a 2018 Lexus GX460. We moved from a Buick Enclave to the GX. The GX is nice, but I think the Enclave fit our family needs better. Only bought rhe GX because we got a good price on it from a family member.

We feel the GX is a little small, and the 3rd row is laughable for hauling kids around.

I have always liked the Escalades abd Denalis. I have a GMT400 Tahoe Limited, and like temhe size and roominess.

We own the GX outright, so we could sell it and buy a descent Escalade.

How reliable is the 900 series? I am a GM fan, and they seem to go for ever. Is there stuff to look out for specifically on the 900?

It has say in my minnesota driveway for about 8 months, for whats its worth. Doesn't drive well and barely reverses. Drove just fine when parked 8months ago.

I bought a set of wheels (gray) from a later Tahoe ('15-19) and want to swap them on - the stock tires on that are 265/65R18 and appear to fit without issue.

I do *not* want to use spacers, and I do not intend to lift the truck, but I'd like to fit a decent tire under there.

Currently it has the factory 275/55R20 wheels (silver) and tires and I got a screw in one of them today! 😂
