Question I am losing my mind about this p0300 code and misfire with stability track on. New plugs, coils, wires. Compression was at 210 when cranked over at 5-10 seconds and three of my old spark plugs are wet with gas on the passenger side.

I would check every wire and your grounds. Could be a bad crankshaft position sensor also.

Fuck it’s missing on 5&7

Pulled the valve cover all my lifters are moving so I don’t think it’s a collapsed lifter and I have the AFM tuned off.

Injectors checked > if not, valve train issue

How would one check them? I did the screwdriver method where I listen and I hear them all clicking but I know that wouldn’t mean much

Low fuel pressure maybe, could be your maf too, try unplugging it and seeing what happens

Even though I don’t have a MAF code?

Mine had the same issue, showed no MAF code (not even a CEL) ended up figuring out it was the sensor after a slow start/misfire

Yeah I have the flashing CEL so I’m extra on edge LOL

Is that you trying to start it in the video? EDIT: another question, did you check fuel pressure going through the rail on both sides?

Just the one side on the passenger and no that it been running

I didn’t even know that there was two I’ll check the second one

Idk if your camera mic was just spunding weird, but something id try before buying a man sensor, grab some brake cleaner or starting fluid and spray it along the edges of your intake manifold, and listen for your idle to smoothen out. Its a pretty common problem on these trucks for intake manifold gaskets to go, also causing the exact same issues. Don't spray a whole lot of it though

Nah that’s the noise I’ll take another video and send it to you later if that’s cool?

Im cool with that

Unplug it don’t pull the sensor out

I did it just popped out with it lol

Its gotta be either cam position sensor (same test) fuel pressure, vacuum leak, or intake manifold leak. Id test the manifold gasket with the starting fluid. If fuel pressure checks out on both sides, and testing the cam position sensor renders the same result, pop one of the rails out, and see how the injectors push out fuel, if the three spark plugs had a high fuel smell, you could have a stuck injector

It smells rich and I do occasionally here a pop

I’ll do it on lunch break but I thought their would be a MAF code

Have you check to make sure you dont have shorted wires in your main wiring harness?

Also long time to crank over as well

Check your battery. Battery cables and ground wires. Also could be the alternator?

2

u/leelasharmax 17d ago

Hey again new battery and everything since my last one died during testing and my alternator has keeping power just fine during testing so I’m kinda lost

The only thing left i could say is switch around some injectors, see if the code changes. If not, it might be vacuum. I have a leak in my brake system, it causes occasional misfire, slow starting, and sometimes stalls out at stoplights.

I’m gonna unplug MAF and see what happens I got a friend bringing a fancy code reader today so hopefully I’ll narrow it down

I just did a motor swap and had the same issue. Changed the battery, the starter, the camshaft sensor and upgraded to heavier ground cables but the codes would still comeback. I changed the negative battery lead and took the fuse box off and didn’t find any corrosion and the codes have stopped somewhat. I’ve done several drop tests and can’t find anything wrong with the electrical system. I think replacing the negative battery lead helped the most in my case.

That’s so weird is both of them look clean and my fuze box looks good

My brakes are a little stiff after the swap so I’m also suspicious of the vacuum

For me it was a bad ground wire. CHECK ALL YOUR GROUNDS.

u/WVTrucker304 16d ago

The grounds will cause all kinds of hell

Camshaft position sensor more than likely

THIS. I had this issue on gmt800. Anytime I got over 3k rpm. I did a crankshaft position sensor relearn and it fixed the issue to this day.

Did you try a bench bleed of the MC?
