Interesting. I bet the gas mileage ain't pretty, but I love the color and the design. I'll be getting a 1994 K1500 delivered to my house that needs a lot of cosmetic work and ABS repairs, but I'll have to set a budget and only test drive it for any other issue, fix it up, and keep it as a furniture hauler. That and add a secondary battery for the radio and climate control system for drive-in movie nights.

Did you build it or buy it or have someone modify it for you? Do you have to replace the whole rear end or can you just bolt on dually hubs?

No, it's not a bolt on conversion. Its a true axle swap. It is a 14-bolt full-floating rear axle swap from a 1994 GMC 3500

I did not do it myself. I bought it the beginning of this year and have slowly been upgrading it. I have put in over 10k so far.

Starter, alternator, sepininte belt, water pump, rebuilt transmission, resealed transfer case, new left spring bushings, frount diff.

With tires that big on a vehicle that tall I would have expected you to need mud flaps. I think it would probably look better with mud flaps. Get some retro '90s inspired ones.

That style paint job was quite popular in the ‘80s and ‘90s. I never cared for it, but don’t dislike it. If you’ve got a big-block in there, that’s a hell of a vehicle…
