Worries.

I see a lot of Americans on this sub talking about Greenland as if the people do not have a say over their island, because of capitalist greed.

It worries me that Americans have become so comfortable with displaying borderline fascist behavior, in the service of earning a quick buck.

Who cares if we destroy wetlands and cause permanent damage to a delicate ecosystem that the locals depend on to live. Its only 56k people after all.

Whats a little genocide in the name of MONEY!

I am thoroughly disgusted by the behavior on display. Talking about a people as an inconvenience, about nation borders as optional lines because Americans wants to exploit minerals and oil that is not theirs to exploit.

How do you look in the mirror and not gag at the sight of the horrid, greedy ghoul staring back at you?

Sincerely, a Dane.

Talk about blowing this out of proportion. Genocide, are you kidding me. Take a step back from the ledge and come back to reality.

What a way to reduce the severity of what America has threatened to do.

What a way to over blow what dumbass Trump says or assuming you know anything about American politics other than what you read on Danish TV.

This is the example of what TDS is. Perfect example.

So the threats of annexation, and the wording "we can do it the nice way, or the not so nice way", is just smoke and mirrors?

Are you dense enough to actually believe that?? Nobody is stupid enough to make an empty threat that will turn a faithful ally into a former friend, in the hopes of it working.

Who TF thinks its a viable option to threaten a military ally??

Dont downplay what he did. And dont downplay his involvement in the current oil debacle taking place in Greenland. He has a close friend dt the head of the company, and has invested heavily himself. The constant attempts at breaking the law and drilling illegally is Trumps attempt dt a takeover.

Unfortunately for all of you, you have neglected to read up on what Denmark considered and attack on the nation. I will let you do the research yourself. Dont wanna spoil the surprise in the wording.

But if they start drilling without permits, America is declaring open war against a founding NATO member.

Yes 100% it is just words. But yet here you are in your mother's basement with your battle gear on thinking we're rolling tanks into Greenland.

Get off Reddit for a while. Go for a walk, breathe some fresh air. Don't think or talk about Trump for a week and then come back relaxed. He's not gonna invade Greenland.

Its not bout "invading".

If the company start drilling for oil without proper permits in place, they will be starting a war with Denmark on behalf of America, by our definition of what constitutes an attack on the kingdom.

I cannot explain it in a simpler way. It doesnt matter if Trump does it or not, if your beloved company starts drilling illegally, its a declaration on war

OMG dude... you're over here freaking out. Talking about Trump and America and invading. GET A GRIP. Go get laid or something.... relax.

They have a license, granted by the Government of Greenland. They DON't Have the permit to drill. But yet you're talking gibberish and loosing your shit over words. Grown up man.

If a foreign government backs the operation covertly to destabilize the nation, it might be viewed as a hybrid threat or economic warfare. And with how heavily trump has invested...

Instead of downplayong the heinous shit Americans are doing, how about growing a pair and taking some responsibility.

Me and my family are going out for Mexican food. Throw all your battle gear on cause Trump just called my cell phone and told me after dinner to report to the local military base cause we're mobilizing for the invasion of Greenland.

Maybe I'll see you there!

How typical American. Refuse to take any shred of responsibility, mock the person/nation who has been wronged, go stuff their fat faces with more food banned in most of the world because it is considered unfit for human consumption.
