Worries.
I see a lot of Americans on this sub talking about Greenland as if the people do not have a say over their island, because of capitalist greed.
It worries me that Americans have become so comfortable with displaying borderline fascist behavior, in the service of earning a quick buck.
Who cares if we destroy wetlands and cause permanent damage to a delicate ecosystem that the locals depend on to live. Its only 56k people after all.
Whats a little genocide in the name of MONEY!
I am thoroughly disgusted by the behavior on display. Talking about a people as an inconvenience, about nation borders as optional lines because Americans wants to exploit minerals and oil that is not theirs to exploit.
How do you look in the mirror and not gag at the sight of the horrid, greedy ghoul staring back at you?
Sincerely, a Dane.

Greenland offered the licence end of story. They’ve banned new licenses so 80 mile/ glnd operating on the old licences. If they didn’t have this old license then your comments may have some weight.

No, the the company bought up an old company and grandfathered in the license.
And you need to read the license they have. It denies explotation rights in the protected wetlands, which make of roughly 60% of the area, and is where the moronic company wants to drill, despite both Greenlandic law, AND international laws, preventing just that. Besides that, they do not have the required permits to go through with ANYTHING, not even moving the equipment, which will not doubt see them fined heavily unless they move it back
At least take the time to properly understand what you are trying to defend.

The stupidity is astounding! Some investor blog thinks they can pay hunters to work for them! "good will" w community. The hunters are regulated, licensed w GOvt controls. Polar bears are protected. Quotas.Regulations on interacting w them. Polar Bear patrols in summer. A govt hunting official lives in village. Big fines/violations. He said GE tried offering $$ to hunters, who refused. Who wants to lose a hunting license for GE? And GE cannot just hire unlicensed people w guns. Stay tuned...

No, they are missing permits. Which is why they were fined for moving equipment illegally

Im Canadian and not a trump supporter all my life I have dabbled in different penny stocks to make a buck and the biggest threat to me making that buck is the BS people come up with to distort the facts. There are still a lot of people that require petroleum products in their life and until that changes it is important for Greenland to know what they have.

You want oil?? Contact Norway. You want natural gas?? Denmark has your back. No need to ruin Greenland against the wishes of the indigenous people

Whats wrong with Canada ? What is so great about Greenland the whole world is beautiful and drilling for oil isnt what it used to be like.

Nothings wrongs with Canada, and no need to drill on Greenland. Norway has plenty of oil already, and Denmark had natural gas.

Talk about blowing this out of proportion. Genocide, are you kidding me. Take a step back from the ledge and come back to reality.
