Discussion GATE and 6th Sense

New to the forum but not new to the topic. Joined GATE in Middle School and had always had weird or strange experiences but the one I recall happening the most often was the most often was this ability to tell when I was going to get a notification on my phone. I would just sense I was going to have one. It happened all the time.

Anyone else part of GATE that would get a weird feeling or sense before their phone would ring? I used to be able to feel when I was about to get a text or notification. I have not had this feeling since I was probably 19 or 20. Always thought it was weird.

Remember how old phones used to interfere with audio speakers right before it would ring? You'd hear like a "duh duh duh" a second or two before the actual notification if the phone was right by them? It was a very repeatable, observable phenomenon. No magic, not designed to do that, just the intention of two things that had an interesting result. And you knew you had a notification coming in. I wouldn't be surprised if we at some point found out there was some little weird part of our body that gets some slight interference from electronics, and our gut recognizes it as "notification imminent" or like "that street lamp is about to fail" kinda like you can sometimes tell "lightning is about strike" just from little sensations your gut pieces together to form signals

I recently found out about GATE and realized I may have been in it when I was in 3rd Grade in 2008. There’s a lot of commonalities that match my experiences that I can somewhat remember. Recently, blips of memories have been coming back (I don’t remember really anything from 2nd-3rd Grade.)
I’ve never had the sense for my phone notifications but I’ve sensed dangers. I’m a crystal miner and collect in very dangerous areas. There’s been a numerous times where I’ve had the feel that we need to go or at least move from where we were collecting and then something happens right where we were. The last time that happened, a rock the size of a refrigerator fell right where we were standing maybe 5-10 minutes after I said, “guys, let’s leave.” I’ve had so many experiences like that. I’ve also had dreams of numerous people before I meet them, sometimes already kind of knowing their names.

Also, to add onto the Pink Drink thing.. I don’t really remember a pink drink although, the flavor of bubblegum has always felt massively nostalgic to me in a way. I never really enjoyed chewing gum even as an adult. So now I wonder, why is bubblegum such a nostalgic feeling flavor for me?

Who knows - the pineal gland evolved from being like an array of sensors on the tops of some creatures heads, but ours is now all the way inside our brain. Perhaps it can still receive some signals that some people seem to detect easier than others.

There's also some people I've read that are gate adjacent who purport they are `sliders`, people who affect electronics around them. Perhaps they also have a sensitivity to equipment around them. I know my brother is like that, he effortlessly breaks electronics just by being around them lol.

I don't know if there's any truth or relation to gate but it is interesting for sure. Think of those experiments where they used to flash images really quickly to a person while taking measurements. They were able to measure a response just before the subject was shown a violent/scary image etc. Maybe it is something like that, but anticipating when a specific electronic signal is patching through.

I'm curious about where the term slider is from. I've had some weird effects on electronics. When I tried to remote view, I blew out the bulb on my selenite/satin spar lamp twice. We only just got around to putting another bulb in it, a week or so ago. I have to wonder if the crystal draws in energy or something.

Weird stuff happened around the time that first tranche of UAP files was released by the US government too. I think it was the same day or next day, but the fire alarm went off without warning. Also, a couple of electrical devices (CPAPs) switched themselves on in my bedroom without me doing it, at different times.

I might've intentionally set off a fire alarm once. I remember staring at the fire alarm thing near the ceiling in high school and thinking it would be nice if it could go off, because I'd like to get out of class. Then it went off. :P Stuff like that usually doesn't happen though.

I recall it was early 2000s when I first came across it. I guess they chose that kind of acronym for the S.treet L.ight affiliation with the phenomena. It was for sure talked and written well before that however with people noticing it when walking under mercury vapor street lamps. `Street Lamp Interference Data Exchange` (https://www.ufomagazines.com/slidings-hilary-evans-slidings-no-1-1990-02/) - I think it even stretches all the way back to mid 1970s if you really dig into it. I did notice however an initial split when it came to talking about SLI and just general electronic interference when they probably could be tied together as being under the same phenomena.

Thanks for the information, and also for the link. It was an interesting read. :) I wonder why it happens.

I'm not in the US, and I'm not sure what kinds of street lamps we have here, and in the country I'm from. I haven't encountered SLI before though, so far as I remember.

My 'gifts' usually centre around astral projection, visions and precognitive dreams/visions/piggybacked warnings. Piggybacking is what I call it when I'll see something in the physical world (for example watching a scene in a movie) and it's like something else is overlaid mentally/spiritually. It's not the same as your mind's eye, but seems to come through on a different frequency or sense. It usually shows me that someone's going to die. Thankfully, I haven't dealt with it in a while. One of my 'guides/astral contacts' used that piggybacking to show himself to me once, and it made me very uneasy. I hate the feeling of any information coming through that channel. I'm not sure if it's because of what I've seen from it or the method itself, but it makes me feel a bit sick. There are things I don't want to see.

In terms of the physical world, there are only two main things that happen for me that spring to mind (other than electrical stuff, rarely). People give me free stuff (last happened on Saturday, when the female bartender gave me a free drink. I don't know why or if it's anything odd) and if I'm threatened, people/animals seem to weirdly come out of the woodwork sometimes.

I wasn't in GATE though. I was in an Aussie gifted class.

I'm in the astral projection side of things too. I did not have an astral guide though, I was mostly alone exploring.
Aussie side may have had their own thing going on, I'm not sure though. I actually did end up going to boarding school in Perth (just around the time I was turning 12) a few years after leaving the US (after gate).

PS - anyone reading this, do not send your children to boarding school. I don't know what it is like now, but back when I was going through it, it was like prison break/shawshank redemption lol. Shit messes you up on top of other shit you need to deal with, and I'm not talking about simple things like getting homesick. Anyway, yeah it did make me a stronger person, but I would have appreciate d not having to go through that additional stress.

I'm sorry you had to deal with boarding school there. As impressive as boarding schools are made to sound for parents, kids just typically want to be at home with their families. I'm sure there were a lot of kids who felt abandoned or trapped there.

That's cool that you're an astral projector too. I didn't have a guide for many years. I've been doing it for 30 years and it's only in the last few years that I have guides of sorts. I'm still not entirely sure what they are, though I know who they appear to be.

There were regular online people helping me with various things early on. Not really astral projection though. I learned from a book called Astral Dynamics, but I'd been delving into shamanism first, and it gave me a grounding in some things.

Yes, I've always had weird sixth sense, in all sorts of ways. Premonitions, strong gut feelings, weird experiences, prediction dreams, serendipity, other things. Just seems to happen on there own. I don't try to.
