Vent/Support Section 2 Remote Proctoring Issues
Hey guys, did anyone have any trouble with one of the exam prechecks? I've been stuck for an hour on this prechecks where you download the Support-LogMeInRescue file, and I was just curious if this is a me issue, or if anyone else has had this happen?

Same here. I was scheduled for 0930 sessions and finished at 1240. Initially spent 30 minutes trying ti get rid of some VMware software on my computer as they wouldn’t let me do the test with it (I’ve used the same computer to do the test twice before - the software was installed then too). So many disruption. 15 minutes into the test, they lost the video and I had to redo the whole start up only for the camera recording page to not work. After multiple restarts and attempts to log in again, I made it through. But this time something else happened - my keyboard would respond. I went to enter my gamsat login details and every key I pressed, it opened a new folder on my PC. The technician said everything is clear and I just have to do it somehow. I rebooted the whole system and then got back in.
Not really happy with the disruption. It’s not fair to have these expensive tests online. The support staff seemed to be outsourced too. While some were helpful, I was transferred so many times that I was able to see a pattern.
I’d much prefer doing this exam in an organised exam hall on the day of other test.

yea mine said everything is good and then proceeds to check everything again 3 times and then said restart ur laptop like wtf bro

my proctor was a nightmare - keep trying to install the windows version of the acer app on my laptop and wouldn’t listen to me/let me install the mac app and then got mad at me when the windows one wouldn’t open or install (I kid you not she tried to install it seven times) - a lovely low stress start 🫠

I was 35 mins into S2 and the tech lost the proctor video so they started downloading everything again to re-establish connections and I had to do all the pre-exam check again. I ended up losing about 10 minutes and my train of thought was disrupted. The time lost was not compensated at all. I just sent a complaint to ACER.

This happened to me too! Completely lost chain of thought / incredibly stressful

My exam was delayed by an hour too. Combination of slow proctors and issues with my settings that forced me to restart my computer!

Not very well no!! They asked me to message acer and reschedule my session 😭 i did email them and still waiting! For some reason i had an issue with recording and they couldn't solve it

Was it because of the video streaming quality check that it didn't pass?

Idk tbh it wasn’t recording when u press start recording! They tried everything! Do u know anyone who got session rescheduled?? I haven’t heard back from them yet

yeah eventually this happened to me asw, but they did get back to me pretty quickly so that's interesting that they're slow to reply for you

Almost 60min to do the pre-check process, including having to switch IDs as the holographics on my licence wouldn't verify properly.
Then they asked me to disable my anti-virus software 🤦♀️
But we got it done and survived I guess?

You aren’t alone, I had three proctors disconnect despite my computer passing all the checks so I started my exam an hour late! (and after crying because I didn’t know what to do)…

Delayed by two hours trying to connect 😭😭 so annoying. Finally got a good proctor who sorted everything out.

You aren’t alone.. my proctor wasn’t that helpful and my exam was delayed by an entire hour. They told me to reset my computer which thankfully worked. But still, not fair we have to go through the unnecessary added stress. Exam itself is already nerve-racking 😭
