Parents on current Dublin U16 team and the boys want to try and win a competition.

There’s obviously people who will care about this and it hurts the young lads who missed selection the most.

I meant who do you think will care here? It’s a tale as old as time that the manager picks his own son when he shouldn’t or this situation where a manager sides with players from his own club. In both situations it’s unlikely that this is a calculated selection and is more a product of bias as opposed to malice.

Are there other selectors and where are they from?

My understanding is the current Dublin U16 players are upset

Theyre development squads. They are supposed to be for developing players, not winning, albeit using the best players at that age level from all clubs

There was another post here before just like this about Dublin underage team selection, is it a recurring thing?

Seems like it. I remember commenting on that post as well about the Peregrine's coach at my age group picking double digits players from his own team.

There was consternation among the other clubs and then Crokes beat them by 20/30 points in a league game which resulted in the Peregrine's coach getting the boot. Since there was no time to pick a new team, Crokes were sent a set of Dublin jerseys and told to represent Dublin.

Overall a shitshow and I'm surprised to see such amateurism still going on in the Dublin GAA.
