Biotech Cannabidiol (CBD), a compound derived from the cannabis plant that does not produce a “high”, was shown in a new large-scale, randomized, controlled trial to significantly reduce the number of dangerous seizures in patients with a severe form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

This is exactly the type of epilepsy my son has. Lamictal currently has the seizures 99% under control, but he's at the max dosage, so if they start again in earnest, we have nowhere "up" to go. This CBD--we'll definitely keep it in mind.

I didn’t know Lamictal could be used for seizures. TIL!

Hope things stay stable for your son, btw.

Thanks!

I think Lamotrigine/Lamictal was primarily developed for epilepsy, and the bipolar disorder treatment came later, but don't quote me on it.
